On the career start:

I was going to marry Mark [Mark Karan, Donna's first husband], my childhood friend, whom we met before the engagement ages - from 16 years of age. And at a party on the occasion of the betrothal the first time I saw Steven [Stephen Weiss, second husband of Donna] - do not know who brought him, but he was a bohemian, regrown hair gathered in a ponytail, a rough sweater, friends said, "sculptor" ...
